FIG & OLIVE in Mougins
The beautiful village of Mougins in the French Riviera is hosting the sixth gastronomic festival “Les Étoiles de Mougins” from September 14th-16th. This event gathers over 100 chefs from all over the world. FIG & OLIVE and Executive Chef Pascal Lorange have been invited to prepare some olive oil based dishes for the closing Gala Dinner.

Summer Continues with Zucchini Carpaccio
September does not have to mean the end of Summer…the weather is still warm and a perfect time for cool and light dishes such as Zucchini Carpaccio.
To prepare this light and flavorful dish:
– Slice a zucchini in a quarter and arrange each slide on an individual plate
– Season it with sea salt and fresh black pepper
– Drizzle 3 tablespoons of a light, fruity olive oil such as the Provence “Chateau Leoube”
– Add 1 tablespoon of pine nuts
– Finally sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shaved Parmesan cheese on top.
